Rheological properties of two compounds are determined using an Alpha Technologies Rubber Process Analyzer (RPA). Parts A and B of ASTM Test Method D6204 are referenced.
Laboratories may report a number of properties including: Storage shear modulus at 20 Hz (Part A, low strain), loss shear modulus at 20 Hz (Part A, low strain), storage shear modulus at 1.0 Hz (Part B, moderate strain) and loss shear modulus at 1.0 Hz (Part B, moderate strain).
Samples are tested at a low strain of 7% for Part A and a moderate strain of 100% (or higher) for Part B.
