1700-2024-1 Chemical Analysis of Copper Price: $314.00

Participants receive two solid discs, made from either two different copper-based alloys or two different heats of the same alloy and approximately 35mm in diameter and 8 mm in thickness. The samples provided are homogeneity tested.

Wet or instrument analysis may be performed for all elements. A different method may be used for each element. While CTS does not specify a particular method, some examples of methods that could be used include: ASTM E478 and ISO 4751.

Laboratories may report percentages of any or all of the specified elements per sample. Basic elements to be determined by laboratories include: Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Nickel (Ni), and Tin (Sn).

Other elements such as Molybdenum (Mo), Lead (Pb), Silicon (Si), Aluminum (Al), Antimony (Sb), and Sulfur (S) vary from cycle to cycle depending on the alloy(s) used.
