Participants are sent one packet of randomized and pre-conditioned linerboard each month, with 10 sheets per packet. Measurements are performed on the wire sides of the specimens, which are cut in one corner to indicate the side of the sheet to test. Roughness measurements are reported in Sheffield Units.
Participants test according to the manufacturer's instructions and using TAPPI Method T538.
