760-2024-2 Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) of Thermoplastics Price: $240.00
Participants receive four moisture barrier bags containing different polymer materials. Each bag contains 10g of material, sufficient for laboratories to perform at least three test runs. Two of the materials are used to report Crystallization Temperature (Tc), Melt Temperature (Tm), Enthalpy of Fusion (Hm), and Enthalpy of Crystallization (Hc). The other two materials are used to report Glass Transition Temperature (Tg). Laboratories may report any or all of the offered properties. Test Method ISO 11357 is referenced. Research properties for ASTM D3418 are offered to participants and may be submitted voluntarily.
A heating rate of 20°C/min is required while performing the test.
ISO Test Method 11357 is included on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010. ASTM D3418 is pending inclusion on CTS' Scope of Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17043:2010.
