Two Inconel specimens cut from round bar are distributed for each test cycle. Specimen diameters are no larger than 19 mm (3/4"). Samples require mounting and surface preparation using polishing and etching techniques as described in ASTM E3 and ASTM E407.
Participants will use their normal laboratory procedures to determine the Alloy Depletion Depth in 5 locations along the perimeter of each specimen. The samples provided are homogeneity tested.
