1540-2024-1 Chemical Analysis of Aluminum Alloy Price: $389.00

Participants receive two solid discs, made from either two different aluminum grades or two different heats of the same grade and approximately 35mm in diameter and 8 mm in thickness. The samples provided are homogeneity tested.

Wet or instrument analysis may be performed for all elements. A different method may be used for each element. While CTS does not specify a particular method, some examples of methods that could be used include: ASTM E34, ASTM E1251, and ISO 3980.

Laboratories may report percentages of any or all of the specified elements per sample. Basic elements to be determined by laboratories include: Copper (Cu), Iron (Fe), Aluminum (Al), Silicon (Si), Manganese (Mn), and Magnesium (Mg).
