Participants receive two similar samples for testing. Each sample contains enough 8" x 11" sheets to provide two large specimens of approximately 50 grams each or several smaller specimens.
Either drying or microwave oven techniques can be used for this test. TAPPI Method T412 is followed for drying ovens and manufacturer's instructions are followed for microwave-type ovens.
