Participants receive two similar samples for testing. Each sample consists of ten pre-conditioned 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" sheets of either printing paper or newsprint. Measurements are made following TAPPI Method T519, using diffuse /0 degree geometry, illuminant C/2 degree and paper backing.
